麻豆原创 hired Michael Poindexter Jr. as the next head coach for the 惭别苍鈥檚 Basketball team. Poindexter will take over this year as the 12th coach in program history.

FAFSA Eligibility
Understanding FAFSA eligibility requirements ensures students meet the necessary qualifications to access funding for tuition, books, and educational expenses through federal and state aid programs. Factors such as citizenship status, enrollment in an eligible program, and financial need are key components in determining eligibility for this crucial financial aid.
To receive federal aid, students must:
- be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or other eligible non-citizen (Students who do not meet these requirements but have graduated from an Illinois high school and are Illinois residents can apply through the Alternative Application).
- be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a degree-seeking student.
- maintain satisfactory academic Progress (SAP)
- not be in default on a federal loan and not owe money on a federal student grant.
Satisfactory Academic Progress Info
The components for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) are evaluated at the end of the fall, spring and summer terms.
- Cumulative grade-point average 鈥� Students must have a grade-point average of 2.0 in credit courses to remain in good standing.
- Completion rate 鈥� Students must complete at least 67% of all credits hours attempted with passing grade of D or better (including transfer credits).
- Maximum timeframe 鈥� Students must complete their program of study before the total number of attempted hours exceeds 150% of the credits required to complete the academic program.
SAP is evaluated at the end of each term after final grades are reported. Students
who do not meet one or more components will be placed on a 鈥渇inancial aid warning
status鈥� for one semester. If at the end of the warning semester the minimum cumulative
2.0 GPA and 67% or higher completion rate is not met, the student will lose their
financial aid eligibility. Students who are placed on an ineligible status can appeal
their status.
Students may appeal their eligibility for financial aid to the SAP Appeals Committee based on extenuating circumstances. Extenuating circumstances can be, but are not limited to:
- Medical illness or injury
- Death of a family member
- Personal difficulties
- Military Services
- Family circumstances
- Financial difficulties
Steps to appeal include:
- Complete the appropriate .
- Attach sufficient documentation that supports the special circumstances that resulted in the suspension and/or maximum time frame status and how the circumstances have been resolved. Appeals submitted without documentation will be denied.
- If the appeal is approved, the student will be on 鈥減robation status鈥� for one semester. After one semester, if the student is not back in good standing, they must submit another appeal for consideration to continue receiving financial aid.
